About Me

Tegan was born and raised in the beautiful Okanagan. She’s always had an affinity for dogs, but raising her companion, Jade, was one of the most profound experiences of her life. Jade and Tegan enjoyed many walks, adventures and endless hours bonding together until she passed away in 2015, leaving a void in Tegan’s heart and life.

Tegan is very grateful for the lessons Jade gave her on providing selfless care to others, and her special connection with dogs was apparent to her family and friends as well. Observing her attention to the needs of Jade, family and friends began to ask Tegan to take their dogs out on adventures, and this is when her passion for animals turned into a career path that lit up her soul. What began as a hobby ten years ago turned into a successful business that provides exceptional service and care for the dogs of Vernon, BC.

Over the past ten years, she has studied canine development science and adventure guiding to bring her vision to life. She has completed the Professional Dog Walking Program through Bravo Dog Behavioural Health, as well as the Canine Adventure Guide Certificate Program with Niki Perry and is dedicated to expanding her understanding of canine development, needs and behaviour through continued mentorship.

Tegan’s modern, holistic approach to nurturing dogs recognizes their emotions, autonomy, and joy as top priorities. She believes in giving dogs the space and freedom to express themselves and explore their surroundings, creating a balanced and fulfilling life for them. With every adventure, she strives to create enriching experiences that cater to their physical and emotional well-being, ensuring every dog who is accepted into her unique program will profoundly benefit from each adventure.

Tegan eased the grief of Jade’s passing by sharing the love she had for her with all of the animals that came into her care. She gives them the same love and attention that she wholeheartedly gave to Jade. Now, through K9 Quest, Tegan can put a smile and tail wag on every dog that she meets.
